Moira Shire requires casual School Crossing Supervisors for our crossings in Cobram and Katamatite. These shifts involve 1 hour in the morning (8-9am) and one in the afternoon (3-4pm).

Job Description
Providing quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
Ensuring that all the resources within his/her control are utilised as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Being pro-active and making decisions and taking action on issues which are within his/her control.
Informing his/her Supervisor of any issue which impacts on his/her ability to effectively fulfil the requirements of the Position Description.
The implementation of safe working practices.
Providing for the safe and orderly passage of persons crossing the designated school crossing.
Supervision of the designated crossing at the prescribed times in accordance with the provisions of the Road Rules – Victoria.
Monitoring crossing for illegal traffic practices.
Maintenance of equipment.
Provision of ongoing public relations and Council image.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Selection Criteria
Current Working with Children Check.
Prior experience in role responsible for safety of children (advantageous but not necessary).
Understanding of Victorian road rules and pedestrian rights.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and schools
