Job Description
Role purpose and Objectives
This position is responsible for overseeing the development of design, project development and community engagement to shovel-ready status for capital projects related to open space development, including playgrounds, parks, landscaping, and recreation reserve related projects. The role also involves strategic planning for Council's open spaces and recreation reserve projects to manage community expectations and plan for future projects through an integrated approach. Strategic work will include open space and playground strategies, precinct plans, masterplans, and Integrated Water Management (IWM) projects.

Key Selection Criteria
Tertiary or post graduate qualifications in a relevant field (project management, landscape architecture) and / experience in commercial and or community infrastructure design development.
Knowledge of budgetary control and processes.
Experience in the development of masterplans, policies and strategies
Highly developed problem solving and negotiation skills.
Highly developed experience in design project management.
High quality oral and written communication skills.
Extensive experience in scoping and design of municipal infrastructure.
Essential qualifications and experience
Hold a tertiary qualification in project management or landscape architecture, or possess extensive experience equivalent to such a qualification.
Knowledge and experience in infrastructure design
Experience in, and knowledge of project management.
